What your system needs
The details vary by product. These are the checks that bring a complete system together.
- The right equipment
- Start with model numbers, existing controls and the rooms you want to include. A matching brand name alone does not confirm compatibility.
- Power, wiring and connection
- MagicDot uses a 5 V supply and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The CM10ZW motor relay needs a compatible Zigbee hub. Other products have their own requirements.
- Clear expectations
- Ask which controls and scenes remain available if the internet or a hub is unavailable, and which phone alerts need a connection. This must be confirmed for the selected system.
